Performance characteristics
For the batteries provided by Zincpower, Cape Laboratory carried out highly accelerated life tests according to GB/T29309-2012. Low temperature step test: when the temperature drops to -65 degrees, the battery can still be charged and discharged normally, but the internal resistance increases to 800 milliohms and the charging voltage rises to 16v, thus obtaining the service reliability of the battery at -60 degrees. High temperature step test: when the temperature rises to 160 degrees, the battery charge and discharge is still effective, and the battery can be charged and discharged normally, and the reliability of the battery at 160 degrees is obtained. The vibration step test shows that the reliability and life of the battery can reach 180000 hours (about 21 years).
Battery Safety
Zinc nickel batteries can pass all the following safety tests:
1. Short circuit test: the positive and negative poles of the charged battery are directly shorted with wires without explosion or fire.
2. Temperature rise experiment: After the battery is fully charged, it is put into the oven and heated at a rate of 5 ℃/min. When the oven temperature reaches 130 ℃, it is kept for 30 minutes, and the battery does not explode or catch fire.
3. Overcharge resistance test: After the standard charging is completed, it will be continuously charged at 0.1C current for 48h without night leakage, smoke, deformation or explosion.
4. Drop test: After the battery is fully charged, it is dropped from 1m to the concrete (or cement) ground three times to obtain the impact in random directions.
5. Impact test: the battery is fully charged, a hard rod is placed horizontally on the battery, and a 20-pound weight is dropped from a certain height to hit the hard rod. The battery will not explode or catch fire.
6. Penetration experiment: After the battery is fully charged, use a nail of a certain diameter to pass through the center of the battery, and leave the nail in the battery, the battery will not explode or catch fire.
7. Fire experiment: The fully charged battery is placed on a heating device with a special protective cover for fire, and no debris passes through the protective cover.
8. Hot plate test: After the battery is charged 0.2C for 7h and fully charged, start the electric hot plate power switch in the protective cover, and turn off the electric hot plate power switch when the electric hot plate is ≥ 240 ℃. When the temperature of the electric heating plate is 250±10 ℃, place the battery on the electric heating plate in parallel for 20 minutes to check that the battery does not explode, crack or catch fire.
